About us

Literacy is our business. Literacy Coalition South Central Arkansas operates to spread awareness and ensure our community members have access to information, tools, and resources that move the needle of literacy upward. We believe that everyone has the right to read because reading is a great equalizer.

Literacy Coalition South Central Arkansas is community-based and volunteer-managed. Its direct services are free to the literacy community and services are designed for adults and children. Available services are tutoring in reading, basic computer learning labs, and anti-poverty family literacy workshops.

Literacy Coalition South Central Arkansas is a proud AmeriCorps sponsor and has been an AmeriCorps host site since 2009.
