Welcome

AmeriCorps VISTA Positions

Literacy Coalition-South Central Arkansas (LCSCA) is seeking change makers to fill AmeriCorps VISTA positions. Applicants should have an interest in fighting poverty and improving literacy. Members will gain experience in project leadership. While AmeriCorps VISTA is not a job it is more than a volunteer position. VISTAs make lasting differences. Spending a year in service at Literacy Coalition could be the beginning of a career, or it could be the year someone needs to earn money for college while deciding on a career move. Either way, AmeriCorps VISTA is an opportunity to give, learn, and earn. LCSCA is currently accepting applications for service positions that will begin 8/29/2022 and end 8/28/2023.
Click here, scroll to Quick Search and enter AmeriCorps VISTA in Arkansas for Literacy Coalition. After searching the available positions, complete an online application and apply. NOTE: Two references are needed to complete the online application.

          Volunteer

As a volunteer with Literacy Coalition, you have the option to tutor and be the help someone may need to make it to the next grade level, graduate high school, get into a GED class, get a job, or be able to read to, or with their children. If tutoring is not for you, you can sign up to help in other ways. Either way, as a Literacy Coalition volunteer, you can serve as little as one hour per week and make an impact in the community.
